Every single human being should own a copy of "Live at the Old Quarter".

My first exposure to Townes Van Zandt was the Cowboy Junkies 1992 album, Black Eyed Man. He wrote 2 of these songs and they wrote the middle one right back at him.

"Cowboy Junkies Lament" – 3:06
"Townes' Blues" – 3:10
"To Live is to Fly" – 4:52

I'll have to get back on my old goal of finding and listening to lots more great music by Townes and other people too. Thanks for reminding me. I was thinking about him just the other day, sort of as a sidetrack diesel train to a thought about John Prine.
